  1. Safety

Three independent reports describe permission failures in Muse

The Guardian reports that Muse shared a user’s home address with a buyer without consent; Inc. and AppleInsider, that it synced 187,000 lines of messages with full disk access disabled; Hunterbrook Media, that it could compile lists of accounts belonging to vulnerable groups. Meta responded to the first case and did not respond to comment requests about the third.

  3. Pricing

Pro 200 reopens with a lower allowance, with a cut effective 29 October

Pro 200 becomes available to new subscriptions again, with a lower usage allowance than before. The cut takes effect on 29 October 2026, so the number visible today is not the final one.

  4. Availability

The Pro plan excludes the EEA, Switzerland and the UK

The exclusion is of the plan, not the product: Business Premium gets dots across every region where ChatGPT is available. Enterprise, Edu and Healthcare enter a beta that ships off by default until an admin enables it. OpenAI has published no date for the excluded markets.

  8. Safety

The live demo fails and searching for the product redirects to Grok Bot

The demonstration during the stream had technical problems, and during that period searching the product name led to xAI’s agent page. It added to the day’s noise and fed the naming confusion.

  9. Policy

An OpenAI executive says Muse instead of dots on television

During a live interview, Muse was mentioned — Meta’s agent and dots’ direct competitor. It is not an alternative name for the product: OpenAI renamed nothing.

  10. Safety

OpenAI scraps the GPT-6.1 Astra release over safety, a day before dots

The model had been planned for the following month. It is a later version of the one powering dots — GPT-6 Astra — not the same model: the distinction was blurred in much of the coverage.
